How does it work?
Straightening your teeth with Invisalign is a fairly simple process. This is made up of a series of clear plastic aligners that are changed out every two weeks to produce a gentle shifting of the teeth. This gentle method allows for teeth to be moved gradually and comfortably. Clear aligners work quickly to provide the results you desire.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign offers many great benefits. Below are the top four advantages that make it an excellent orthodontic choice for many of our patients:
- Invisible – Because of the clear plastic material they are made of, Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible to the naked eye. This is perfect for busy teens and adults who want to keep their orthodontic care discreet. No one will know you are wearing your aligners unless you tell them!
- Fast – Invisalign produces results in just about 12 months! While traditional braces tend to take about 2 or 3 years, it can get you the results you desire quickly and efficiently.
- Comfortable – Invisalign is not made of metal, so there are no brackets or wires to poke, scratch, or cut your gums or the insides of your cheeks. It also dramatically decreases the risk of a patient being allergic to the treatment, as allergies to nickel (found in traditional braces) are common. This aligners also work more gently than traditional braces, so there is also no pain or discomfort due to the tightening of wires – just a mild pressure.
- Convenient – Invisalign aligners are also completely removable! Feel free to remove them to eat and to brush and floss your teeth. They can also be removed for special occasions. This aligners will never be in your way! Try that with traditional braces! However, we do recommend that you wear your aligners for at least 22 hours every day in order to see the desired results.
