Whiter teeth give you the ability to smile bright without thinking twice about your teeth.

Professional Teeth Whitening In Snellville, GA

At Parkway Dental, we offer two teeth whitening solutions to patients who want to whiten their teeth by several shades. We encourage you to learn more about each option below to get a better idea of which solution may work best for you.

KoR Whitening System

The KoR whitening system uses a deep bleaching method to dramatically brighten your smile. The KoR system includes at-home and in-office treatments that effectively whiten your teeth by several shades.

The first part of the KoR whitening process uses the at-home solution. During your initial consultation, we’ll take impressions of your teeth to make a customized whitening tray. The tray will fit over your teeth and allow for full, even coverage.

Before bed, brush and floss your teeth like normal. Then put the whitening solution in the tray. You will wear the tray all night while you sleep, then rinse it out when you wake up in the morning. This guarantees optimal results.

If you’re worried about sensitivity or irritation, we have a desensitizer we can give you to keep the gel from causing any irritation.

Approximately two weeks later you’ll come to our Snellville, GA dentist office for the second portion of your treatment. During your visit, we’ll apply a series of whitening treatments. This process will take about 45 minutes. We incorporate this process because it will enhance your results even further and give you an even whiter smile than the take-home trays by themselves.

The KoR whitening system is a popular teeth whitening solution that delivers dramatic results in a quick and effective manner.

Philips Zoom Professional Teeth Whitening

We also offer Zoom professional whitening at our Snellville, GA dentist office. Zoom is available in both take-home and in-office forms and works best when used together. With Zoom, we will provide the teeth whitening treatment here in our office first, then send you home with a custom-made whitening tray to finish your treatment at home.

For the in-office treatment, we use a whitening gel and a unique, low-heat light. The gel is applied to your teeth then we position the light to allow it to activate the whitening agents in the gel. Those whitening agents get deep inside your teeth to remove deep stains and other discoloration. It takes about an hour to complete this treatment.

Zoom is milder than KoR which makes it ideal for you if you’re especially worried about sensitivity.

How To Maintain A Whiter Smile

Chances are, once you get the whiter smile you’ve been wanting, you want to keep it that way for as long as possible. Fortunately, there are several things you can do to do just that.

If you just can’t seem to give up your favorite drinks that are notorious for staining teeth, try drinking them through a straw. Enjoying coffee, tea, or even red wine through a straw prevent the beverage from coming into contact with your front teeth directly when you take a sip.

You should also avoid smoking or using tobacco if you want to maintain a white smile. Tobacco products can cause both surface and set-in stains.

It’s important to maintain regular checkups with your dentist as part of a preventative regimen. And of course, brush and floss your teeth daily to prevent the buildup of bacteria which can affect the color of your teeth.
