Today is the day that you should call (770) 676-1122 or contact Parkway Dental online to schedule a consultation.

One of our dentists in Snellville, GA, can discuss the ways we could help you change your smile. This includes dental veneers, one of the most versatile services in cosmetic dentistry.

To really understand what veneers could do for you, you should visit us in person. For now, however, we will do our best to describe some of the ways veneers could improve the appearance of your teeth.

The Many Uses For Dental Veneers

Unlike teeth whitening or orthodontics, dental veneers aren’t intended to change your teeth. Instead, veneers are an effective way of concealing your teeth with a thin covering that changes the appearance of your smile.

To try to explain how veneers work, think about siding for a house. With a new set of siding, you can completely change the exterior of a home, but this leaves the foundation intact. Veneers can give your smile a new look without compromising the healthy parts of your teeth. Let’s consider the possibilities.

Change The Color Of Your Teeth

Let’s say you have one tooth that is noticeably darker or yellower than the rest of your smile. A dental veneer bonded to that tooth can help it blend in with the rest of your smile instead.

On the other hand, perhaps your entire smile is yellower than you would like. Dental veneers can be used to correct this situation, too. By getting a set of veneers, you can conceal your dark teeth, and your smile can look as bright and white as you would like it to be.

Correct Spacing Issues Between Your Teeth

If you have crowded teeth, you know that this can affect your smile. With dental veneers, you can have the appearance of teeth that are evenly spaced. This too can improve the overall appearance of your smile.

Or maybe you have a gap between two or more of your teeth. Dental veneers can come in handy here, too. With veneers, we can close those spaces to give your smile a more uniform look.

Some patients have crowded teeth and gaps between other teeth. Rest assured that veneers can be used to deal with the entire situation.

Fix Chipped & Cracked Teeth

During the decades that you have been alive, your veneers have been through a lot. You have chewed on chips and almonds and peanuts. You have bitten down on ice, and you have chewed on hard candy.

For larger breaks, you may consider a dental crown, but that’s not always necessary. A dental veneer can be a less invasive, yet equally effective option for correcting these kinds of wear-and-tear issues.

With a single veneer or a series of them, you can repair much of the damage to your smile.

Kinds Of Dental Veneers

If you decided that veneers are right for you, then you will be happy to know that Parkway Dental offers two kinds of dental veneers — no-prep and traditional.

Lumineers, our no-prep veneers, are thinner than other kinds of veneers. As a result, you can have Lumineers bonded to your smile with little or no work to your teeth.

After your impression is made, it’s shared with the lab that creates veneers just for you. When you Lumineers are ready, they are attached to the front of your teeth to transform your smile.

We also offer two kinds of traditional veneers — e.max and daVinci veneers. These can be used to fix all the same issues as Lumineers. The difference is that we usually need to remove a thin layer of enamel from your teeth.

After this is done, we make the impression that is used to create your veneers. When they are ready, we will check the fit and bond them in place.
