Respected By Our Peers

Recently, both dentists in our practice were recognized as two of Benco’s Dental 40 dentists under 40 to watch in a piece published in Incisal Edge magazine.

Dr. Ashish Vakharia is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to complete his dental training at University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry.

He has devoted himself to continuing his education above and beyond the requirements of the dental profession. He’s also volunteered for more than 400 hours at dental clinics throughout the United States.

Dr. Amit Patel grew up in Tampa, FL, and earn his D.D.S. at the University of Florida. He also traveled to the United Kingdom to further his studies in specialty training program.

In addition to completing more than 800 hours of continuing education, he serves on the National PACE Council, which works on continuing education approval within the Academy of General Dentistry.

The rest of our team has more than 150 years of collective experience in the dental field. When you walk through our doors, you can count on receiving friendly and professional care.

Preventive Care

We want your mouth to stay as healthy and clean as possible. The best way to do this is through good home care and routine cleanings and examinations at our office.

We hope you are following the American Dental Association guidelines for home care. This includes brushing your teeth twice every day and flossing between your teeth and gums every day.

We encourage our patients to visit us a few times each year for cleanings and examinations.

For new patients, we want to make your first appointment as stress-free as possible. Our new patient forms are available to download from our website, so you can fill them out at your convenience before you arrive.

We will take your medical history and make X-rays followed by a clinical assessment of your oral health. One of our doctors will examination of your gums, teeth, and jaw joint as well.

And, of course, a member of our team will give you a professional cleaning. If we find any issues, such as tooth decay or gum disease, we will advise you on the best way to treat any problem.

We also offer fluoride treatments, which strengthen the enamel of your teeth, and dental sealants, which can reduce your risk of cavities. We’ve helped several patients with dry mouth and halitosis as well.

Incorporating Technology

One of the reasons our doctors were named to the 40 under 40 list is their commitment to including beneficial technology for our patients.

One example of this is the intraoral cameras that we use to take a closer look at your mouth. This gives us a magnified view of your teeth and gums, and it can help us find cavities and gum disease earlier than ever. As a result, we can provide more effective treatments.

Dental lasers are tools that we have added to our practice as well. Lasers allow us to treat soft tissue (like gums) without needing a scalpel. This can speed up recovery as well.

We are proud to offer services like dental implants, which makes teeth replacements stronger and more secure, and Invisalign, which is a great alternative to braces for patients who want to straighten their teeth.

These are just a few of the ways we are using technology to make your dental care better.
